Terrasil Anti-Fungal

Symptoms of tinea versicolor can develop anywhere on the body, but is commonly found on the torso. Someone dealing with tinea versicolor will present the following:

  • Dry, discolored, scaly patches of skin.
  • Patches vary in color. They are sometimes lighter than the rest of the skin tone, but they may also be darker than the surrounding skin tone.
  • Spots can be white, pink, salmon, red, tan, or brown.
  • Skin may feel itchy where spots are noticeable.
  • The presence of the fungus makes it impossible to get a tan. Tanning will only make the spots and rash more noticeable.
  • Defined edges.
  • If left untreated, rash will gradually increase in size and area of the body.
  • Spots will usually disappear with cooler temperatures, but return when hot and humid conditions return.
  • Sometimes patches are mistaken for vitiligo, a disease where skin pigment is lost.
